Travel Guides by Line
Starting in fall 2017, we’re rolling out line by line travel guides to help you plan your next train crawl. Based on our years of experience planning and organizing train crawls, we’ve compiled these guides to optimize your planning efforts, with some helpful key features you won’t find on any other schedule:
- Schedules are shown by time, rather than by train. Optimize your time at your stops by heading in both directions on the train rather than settling for Metra’s two-hour headways.
- Bars within convenient walking distance at each station, including some favorites from us at The Yard Social Club.
- Transfer information to other Metra service as well as CTA and Pace. Even fewer reasons to drive to and from your next train crawl with details on transit connections all along the line, not just downtown.
If you’re interested in print copies of these schedules, drop us a line or print out the PDFs at home. Our Weekend Guides are formatted for double-sided printing on legal (8.5″ x 14″) paper.
These are not official Metra schedules, but they are accurate as of February 2018. For the most up-to-date official Metra schedules, visit Metra’s website at http://www.metrarail.com/.
